The time around the holidays is ideal for thinking back on books that are worth remembering and anticipating new ones. Bloggers, influential figures, and magazines use the end of the year to post their favorites. So, if you follow a topic that interests you, it can be quite helpful to learn what’s hot and what’s good. In 2021 I recommended several trending book titles (only in German).
This year, I’m embracing a strategy that invites you to select titles directly from the bookshelves of well-known publishers. Many of these books are open-access, allowing you to easily download them for free. Explore, for instance, works such as social engineering, the psychology of fake-news or responsible artificial intelligence.
More open-access collections can be found here:
- Cambridge University Press
- MIT Press
- Online Library and Publication Platform | OAPEN
- Springer Books
- Taylor & Francis eBooks, Reference Works and Collections
- Transcript Publishing (transcript-publishing.com)
